Company Director

A Business Director referred to as our agency to discover out if we could support him. He told us that goods had gone missing from his warehouse but it had not been broken into. The Lorries had not been tampered with and the stock had all gone through the goods in department. This was happening every single two weeks or so He suspected that many of the warehouse workers and also the lorry drivers could be stealing goods and splitting the profits.

We put undercover operatives into the warehouse who posed as warehouse workers. The operatives had been employed for two weeks in the warehouse and they wore body cams all the time. Our operatives got friendly with all the other warehouse workers. During 1 of the night shifts a lorry came in as well as the warehouse manager and one of our operatives got to function unloading it. The majority of the goods for the warehouse had been unloaded then the warehouse manager got into the lorry using the driver and they drove off. He came back about half an hour later.

The Manager took our operative to one side and told him not to tell everyone what had happened. The operative said that as he was only there for several weeks it didn’t matter to him what was going on. The Manager offered him either some money or a number of the goods to keep his mouth shut. The operative had all this on film and video.

The lorry driver was the main man in this scam. He would have a number of warehouses on his route with warehouse men that would help him steal from their warehouses. Once the lorry driver had the goods he would sell them to the other warehouse men who were also stealing for him.

Our client referred to as the police and the lorry driver and warehouse manager had been taken to the Police station for questioning. They had been each arrested and are on bail waiting to go to court.
